Method 1: Set the correct boot order

Method 4: Run Automatic Boot / Repair
- Insert the new Windows 10 bootable installation CD/DVD or USB and restart your PC.
- When you are prompted to press any key to boot from a CD or DVD, press any key to continue.
- Select your language preferences and click next.
- Click Repair your computer at the lower left of your screen.
- At the option selection screen, click Troubleshooting.
- On the troubleshooting screen, click the advanced option.

Method 5: Enable UEFI boot
Make the following changes:
- Change boot list option to UEFI Disable legacy ROM load option Enable Secure Boot
- Then press F10 to save and exit boot configuration.
Method 6: Change Active Partition in Windows
- Open the cmd again using the Windows installation disc.
- Type the following command in cmd and hit enter in all one by one:
- Note: Always ensure the System Reserved Partition (mostly 100mb) active and if you don’t have a System Reserved Partition, check C: Drive as the active partition.

Method 7: Repair Install Windows 10
If none of the above methods working for you, then you can be sure your HDD is fine, but you may see the error ‘Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media to selected boot device and press a »key because the operating system or BCD information on the HDD has been erased in some way.
