Check HyperX Cloud 2 your connections

Enable audio devices

- Check if the mute switch is off
- Right click on Start .
- Select Control Panel .
- Go to the Hardware and Sound page .
- Click Sound.
- Click the Play tab and make sure the dongle is available as the default device.
- Click the Recording tab to check for the presence of the headset microphone. If you can’t see it, go to the next step
- Right-click anywhere in the space and make sure both Show Disabled Devices and Show Disabled Devices are checked .
- Right click and select the headset microphone as default device
- Note. if you find Realtek audio drivers displayed in Device Manager, follow these steps.
- Unplug your HyperX Cloud 2 headset
- Disable your webcam
- Download and install the latest Realtek drivers
- Reboot your machine
- Insert the headset
- Test your headset on a voice recorder by recording your voice
- Go to Cortana and enter Voice Recording
- Press Mic and Talk
- Click again (this will stop)
- Click on play (triangle) to play your recording
- Note. Realtek audio software sometimes overrides Windows settings, so to fix it you need to do the following:
- Go to the Cortana search box .
- Enter Microphone Privacy Settings.
- Click on Microphone Privacy Settings to preview the settings
- Make sure Allow apps to use my microphone is set to On.
- Click on apps that can use the microphone
- Check if the microphone is working using test calls like Skype or Mumble.
Checking volume of HyperX Cloud 2 on your control box
The volume can be not only low or muted in the sound settings, but also in your control unit. If you are using a control box, make sure you turn up the volume on it as well. However, you should be aware that this volume setting is only for headphones. Also check if the mute switch on your control box is on.
